Gaming war between two engines Frostbite VS Crytek

As days are passing, Gaming industry becoming better and better. Their technologies are advancing, so their games also. But all this is due to advancement in their gaming engines. Gaming engines are the core part of any game’s success. Features like visual appearance, artificial intelligence, anti-aliasing are strictly attached with this core tool.

There are several gaming engines like Frostbite, Crytek, and Unreal etc. But today’s two best competitors are Frostbite and Crytek. 

Firstly about Frostbite:

 Frostbite is a game engine developed by EA Digital Illusions CE, who created Battlefield Series. It is designed for Microsoft Windows, PS3, WII U and Xbox 360 platforms. Firstly, it was used by DICE for First person shooter games but more and more genres are employed with this now. It is exclusive to EA (electronics Art). There are several versions available of this engine like Frostbite 1, Frostbite 1.5 and Frostbite 2 which is latest one and best from the entire previous series. Frostbite 2 comes with Battlefield 3 which is still not forgotten by people especially to gamers. Frostbite 2 has really proven its gaming capacity mechanism as it can be seen in Battlefield 3. NFS RUN also came with this engine, but the engine has been famous by Battlefield 3.

                   
Frostbite is developing their technology as on ‘graphical’ side and on ‘development side’. This Engine rocks but still expecting more advancement in it. The engine produced great visual appearance. All the minute points about things in the game like water, forest, wood, house, person and buildings etc. are greatly crafted. The Engine looks stunning. The detailing is wonderful and looks like happening in real world. But still some flaws in it, which will definitely be improved in future time.

Now here comes the Crytek:

This company is founded by Turkish boys. The company is primarily known by two of its biggest achievement i.e. Far Cry and Crysis. These two games rocks the gaming industry especially Crysis. The developer has partnership with EA, Ubisoft, Nvidia, THQ and many other big brands. This engine also has many versions like CryEngine, CryEngine2 and CryEngine3 which is best from entire series. Far Cry comes with CryEngine and take the gaming world to another level especially originality in “Fire effects” of the game. Then comes the Crysis with CryEngine2 which is still one of the best graphics Game of the history. The detailing and vastness is spectacular in this game and cherishes everyone’s eye and heart.  Now the last but not least Crysis 2 supported by Cry Engine 3 is one of the gorgeous games of the planet. The game has everything which a gamer wants and Engine deserves whole credit for this. Details like lightning, shadow effects, tessellation, V-Sync all were amazing. The game looks original if it is running on good GPU and hardware.  

So, both these titles are fighting with each other and had advanced their technology to another level. Both have their advantages and disadvantages over each other. Their fight indirectly, raising level of gaming world and it also created tension among users about ‘what to choose between both of them’.  

The fight will goes on in future also and predictions will be made who is best. Let’s see who wins the tittle.
